Update :)

Hey Everyone ,
Before I start this post I would like to say that I am so sorry that I  haven't been able to make a post on here in almost 2 months. Ever since I finished my school holidays in March I have been so busy studying for end of year exams that I had no time to do anything other than school work .

Anyway , now I'm back , and I'm on my Summer holidays . I have decided that from now on my blog uploading schedule will be less structured , and I will try to post as often as I can , when I am available. I will be on holidays for the whole month of July , but hopefully I will be able to prepare some posts before I go to be uploaded in July.

Hopefully there will be a more interesting post uploaded   soon :)

Thanks for being so understanding and I'm so glad to be back !

Happy Tuesday xx :)

Drugstore Makeup Haul

Hey Guys , I'm really sorry for not posting in almost a month , but I have had problems uploading photos from my camera and I am also on my holidays right now so I haven't had much time to post. Anyway , while being away on this trip , I have bought a few makeup items from the drugstore that I thought I would show you today.
*Also , I'm sorry for the not so great photo quality , I'm still having problems getting photos from my camera so these were taken on my ipad:)*

The first thing I want to show you is the ColourFix Contour and Cream Foundation Palette by Technic . I have never bought a contour palette before , and when I saw this , I thought it would be a good palette to start off with . It has all the colours and tones needed to contour and highlight and I really like this palette. I can't wait to watch lots of tutorials and improve my contouring skills ! ;)

The next thing I bought was The Nudes Palette by W7 . I really wanted a palette with just nude shades that would go with casual every day makeup , and when I saw this I thought it was exactly what I had been looking for.

Next I have this BB Cream from Rimmel. I wanted a BB Cream because I have recently been feeling that foundation is really heavy on my skin , and wanted to try a lightweight yet high coverage option. This is dewy (really dewy)and really light weight , but still has decent coverage , perfect for "no makeup" makeup looks.

Next I bought these two NYC mascaras , because they were at a huge discount in a sale so I thought I would try them . The purple one is good for more everyday looks , It leaves your lashes light yet defined . The orange mascara is honestly the best mascara I have ever used. It separates lashes really well , gives lots of volume and definition. I wasn't expecting much from this product because of the super low price , but I was pleasantly surprised when I applied it for the first time.

Next I bought these two Rimmel scandaleyes eyeshadow paints in Slate Grey and Berry Chrome. I don't know when I will use these , but they were really pretty colours and I liked the idea of eyeshadow paints so I picked them up.

Next I want to show you this Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in number 40 . This is a beautiful salmon pink shade , and it's a perfect lipstick for Spring/Summer.

I also picked up this blush in Pink Rose from Rimmel. I really love the shade of this blush. The only down side is the size of the container makes it hard to use a brush (although fingers work just as well) .It is long lasting and , again , perfect for Spring / Summer.

I did buy a few more items but I thought his post would be too long if I included them all. I may do another haul soon .

Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation Review

Hey Guys , today I will be reviewing the Dream Satin Liquid Foundation by Maybelline. I recently bought this because I've been looking for a new foundation and this was half price in a local pharmacy so I decided to try it out.

The original price is €11.99 , but I bought it for €6.00. The packaging is nice , and I like the fact that this foundation has a pump because they are a lot easier to use.

The consistency of the product is like most foundations , light and silky. I hate foundations that are thick and clumpy so this was something I really liked.

When you apply the foundation , it doesn't look like you are "caked" in makeup , which is also something I think most people like. Even though I usually use a sponge for foundation , I tried using a brush too , and there were no visible brush strokes.

The finish of this foundation in my opinion is between dewy and matte. The coverage with only one layer is not great , but it is buildable so it suits people who need light or heavy coverage.

Overall , I think this foundation is amazing . It is the best foundation I have ever used , and it would suit all skin types.

I hope that you enjoyed this review and I'll see you in my next post.

Best Budget Eyeliners

Hey Guys  , today I thought I would show you my two favourite budget eyeliners , which are very inexpensive yet still work like high end brands :)

Essence 'Superfine'

I only recently bought this eyeliner and I love it ! This is by far my favourite eyeliner. The pen is soft yet pointed , which gives a very professional look , without all the effort. I bought this for €3.09 in my local pharmacy , and the Essence range can also be bought in Penneys.

Rimmel 'Scandaleyes'

I've had this eyeliner for the longest out of the two eyeliners , but I've used it almost every weekend (I can't wear makeup in school) , and in most of my tutorials. It gives a really precise finish , but isn't as easy to use as the other two. I would still recommend it at the reasonable price of €6.99

*Both of the eyeliners are in the darkest shade , usually called 'noir' or 'deep black ' etc.*

E=Essence

I hope you enjoyed this quick post and I'll see you next week !

Moisturizer for Oily Skin

Hey Guys , today I'm going to show you a product I have found that is ideal for people with oily skin. This moisturizer leaves the skin soft and clean , but doesn't give off an oily , greasy look that a lot of moisturizers can give.

This is the Effaclar Moisturizer from La Roche Posay . I recently received a tester of this in a local pharmacy and I find that it absorbs the natural oil that might be on your face  , yet still hydrates and softens your skin.  A tiny amount of this product will cover the whole face , but I like to focus in on my T-Zone when using it.

The consistency of the product is thin , and is not creamy like a lot of other moisturizers.  It also does not have a scent , which is what I prefer when looking for skin care products :)

Overall , I would highly recommend this product for anyone with oily skin. It absorbs moisture immediately , and still hydrates and softens the skin. This is currently €13.99 (30ml) in Boots and Boots Online.  I know that this price might be a bit expensive , but in my opinion , it's worth it. I rate this Product 4/5 stars , losing one star because of the cost.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll see you next week :)

January Favourites !

Hey Guys , As today is the last day of January , I thought I would show you a few of the things I have been loving this month. There are only a few things because I have been busy with school this month and I haven't had time to do much shopping :)

***

I got the Sprinkle of Glitter Diary for Christmas , and I've been using  it since New Years Day . I like writing in Diaries, and I love writing in this even more because of the recipes , advice and motivational pages that are included. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a Diary for 2016.

I got the Naked 3 palette from my Mam for getting good exam results , and I've been using this palette almost every day since. It has such beautiful shades , and I've already done two posts based on this palette, you should check them out to find out about it in more detail :)

My next January favourite is the Zoella range . I have photographed the Fizz Bar because it is the most photogenic , I also have the lip balm , 3 makeup cases and body scrub .

Lastly , I have chosen the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and concealer. I have been using the concealer since early last year , but I bought the foundation in late December , and I've been wearing almost every day since. I plan on doing a full review on them soon.  I have also chosen the Beauty Blender , because it applies foundation evenly and in my opinion , is better than a brush.

I hope you enjoyed reading what I have been loving this month. Please leave suggestions for posts down below in the comments and subscribe :)

Cat Eye Tutorial for beginners

Hey Guys , today I thought I would show you a really easy technique for a cat eye. I originally saw this technique on Eimear Mcelheron's Youtube channel , which you can visit      here. This channel is full of really easy eyeshadow looks and tutorials and its amazing for beginners .

Anyway , I often get complimented for my eyeliner so I thought that I would show you how I do it.

For this look you will need

-A felt tip eyeliner pen (essential)
-Liquid liner (optional)

To start off , I like to make sure that my eye lid is fully clean or my eyeshadow is fully finished , because once this eyeliner is done , you may not want to go over it with eyeshadow in case it effects the eyeshadow.

Also , if you are practicing the look , I would recommend keeping your eyelids clean so you have a blank canvas to work with.
                                          ***
The first step is to take a black eyeliner pen and place a dot just above the tear duct. I draw another dot at the start of the iris , one dot above the pupil and one at the end of the eye.

I then draw a dot directly above the last dot , and one slightly outwards from that one. This will create the wing.

Next , I connect the dots. This takes a steady hand , but with a few tries , you will become a pro !!:)

Now that you have joined the dots , draw a line outwards from the outer corner of the eye and connect it to the wing.

All that's left is to intensify the colour. At this stage you may want to use a liquid liner , but I prefer to continue with the eyeliner pen.

That's it ! You have created the perfect cat eye !! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and have a fantastic week.
